DISC Tours

Registered participants of the DISC Summit will have the opportunity to participate in the following tour. In order to participate you must select the GM Defense tour option during the registration process. This tour is available to the first 60 registrants.

About. GM Defense will be offering a tour of its newly-opened Manufacturing and Customer Innovation Center (MCIC) adjacent to the Hendrick campus in Concord to kick off the DISC conference. The tour will provide an overview of GM Defense’s two vehicle manufacturing lines for the United States Government, including the Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV) in-production for the US Army and the Heavy-Duty Sport Utility Vehicle (HD SUV) in-production for the Department of State.  The new plant includes some of the latest manufacturing tools utilized to meet government-specified requirements with extreme precision. The facility will ensure the highest level of quality while enabling greater efficiencies throughout the vehicle production. The tour will also showcase some of the outdoor vehicle testing facilities, including an off-road test and demonstration course. 

Attire: GM Defense recommends business casual attire and close-toed shoes while on campus. Participants should also consider that some of the outdoor vehicle static displays will occur on dirt, gravel and mud. Please plan for adverse conditions accordingly.
